This exercise is required to gain a deeper understanding of the defenses you use when confronted with problems, conflict, uncomfortableness, anxiety, (i.e. something you view as a threat to your mental and emotional wellbeing), to understand how you protect yourself.
Knowing your defenses will also help you to understand “How and Why” you respond to problems the way you do. And eventually, we will also need this information during the treatment of your anxiety.
Lastly, your defenses is what prevents you from achieving your fulfillment (joy, happiness, satisfaction) in those daily situations you encounter.
To Start:
In this exercise, answer the questions in the form to your right.
Don't over think your answers, put the first thing that you think of.
Also, don't answer with how you would like to handle a situation, but rather how you typically respond.
Please fill out all eight entries in the form. If you have any questions, please contact myself for clarification.
